                                  The Power of Social Media

   On February 21, 2013 a group of people who love Dachshunds and were friends on Twitter banded together to form Global Dachshund Crossposting. Between the original four there are 12 Doxies of all sizes, shapes and colors. Two countries , Canada and USA ,were represented at that time and two more have been added. Friends from Sweden and Australia have signed on to help us in our mission to “help dachshunds in need across the globe find their Furever homes by posting and crossposting dachshunds needing rescue, fostering or with medical needs.”

  Today we (GDX) are on Face Book, Global Dachshund Crossposting, Twitter @GlobalDoxieX, Pinterst and this blog. In less than 30 days we have been instrumental in getting 2 Doxies/ mixes rescued, transported and adopted. The plight of hundreds of others has been shared around the world.

  Through the power and reach of Social Media and a deep passion for the Dachshund four became friends. Through that passion and power a new voice is being heard.
